Plant manager, metal industry (m/f/d)

Our client is an established, medium-sized family company in the field of industrial steel processing with two locations in Germany. As part of a planned age succession, we are looking for a production location in the Siegen area with around 15 employees as a convincing manager (m/w/d). The position is reoccupied during a structured transfer – an intensive incorporation by the current job owner is expected to be guaranteed by the spring of next year.

General responsibility for the operational management of the production site as well as professional and disciplinary management of around 15 employees Ensuring a smooth production process with regard to quality, costs and timeliness Further development of manufacturing processes with focus on efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness Analysis and realignment of machine setup and improvement of material flow Identification and implementation of measures for production optimization Monitoring and further development of quality standards (ISO 9001) Responsibility for work safety and compliance with statutory requirements

Complete technical training with training as a master / technician or a technical study (e.g. mechanical engineering, production technology or comparable) Multiannual professional and leadership experience in a manufacturing company, ideally in metal or steel processing Shopfloor knowledge and experience with Lean methods (e.g. 5S) Excellent quality awareness and experience in process optimization Structured, solution-oriented and pragmatic mode of operation Hands-on mentality with a clear sense of decision combined with an esteeming guide style Good knowledge of MS Office and experience with ERP systems
