As part of our backup team, you are responsible for the reliable and performant operation of our state-of-the-art backup and archiving systems. These include large tape libraries, powerful disk caches, Linux-based IBM Storage Protect Server and a Fibre Channel network. You monitor and optimize this infrastructure and keep hardware and software up to date. In addition, you help in the further development of our backup and archiving solutions at LRZ, support our users with questions and problems related to backup and support your own ideas for improving and automating our processes, processes and tools. With your work, you help us save hundreds of petabytes safely and sustainably on research data and make an important contribution to top research in Germany.
