Our 18-month trainee program is your springboard into the world of hostel management – perhaps even directly in the Menzenschwand youth hostel!? You will be directly involved in the day-to-day business and get to know all areas – from reception to housekeeping and kitchen to personal planning and guest care as well as commercial management and instruction in the administrative tasks and structures of the DJH. Not only are you there, but in the middle of it: you take responsibility, bring your own ideas in and help our guests feel comfortable all around. What you learn: • Organization, leadership and strategic planning • View into all operational areas – you become an all-rounder with an overview • Communication with guests and teams, handling feedback and complaints • Participation in personnel deployment planning, application processes and training measures • Participation in meetings, shopping planning and internal projects
• A completed study or training in the area of hotel industry/tourism • Fun for responsibility, organizational talent and a real host heart • Openness, team spirit and joy in dealing with young guests and school classes • Good computer skills and language skills (German, English and also a different language) • readiness for flexible working hours
