Heat and energy are our contribution to the quality of life – every day new. As BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH we supply the capital with electricity and heat in a climate-friendly manner. Our district heating network is the largest Western Europe with a length of more than 2,000 kilometres. We supply about one third of the Berlin households with heat. With the know-how of our 2,200 employees, we cover the entire value chain of district heating – from production to grid operation and expansion to distribution. At high pressure, we work at the coal exit until 2030 and at climate-neutral production from 2045. In this way, we support the Land of Berlin significantly when reaching its climate targets. On the way to this we want to realize a higher proportion of renewable energies and waste heat. To do this, we need to redesign many of our sites and facilities. For this challenge and the associated tasks, we need people who are fully committed to our common goal of a local heat transition – people like you.

For the BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH we are looking for you as an asset performance manager at the location Berlin in an indefinite position. Help us transform into climate-neutral district heating to advance the heat transition in Berlin. We are looking for someone with strategic skills, thermodynamic understanding and interest in power plant technology to evaluate the performance of our existing plants. You build a network of internal stakeholders, among others from the project area, the operation and the technical service and planning sector, to improve asset performance together with stakeholders. You are able to set up key payment systems and display our systems with one another and with an external comparison and show weaknesses. You work on your ideas in management presentations and make them decide. Your tasks You carry out asset reviews to evaluate our production facilities based on internal and external benchmarks.

You regularly track performance indicators in dialogue with the contacts in operation and in the field of technical planning and service.

You support operational asset management in the energy-economic assessment of performance deviations and possible countermeasures.

You actively participate in the exchange of experiences and provide technical input for operating asset management.

You collect and evaluate ideas for improving the performance of individual assets and aggregates – from an energy, commercial and technical perspective.

You identify opportunities and use them to improve performance targets.

Your profile Complete economic or engineering studies as well as knowledge in the energy industry or energy technology Joy of structured and creative work Analytical thinking and safe handling of numbers, data and facts Ability to present ideas clearly and show ways of implementing them Experience in classic project management German language skills You meet about 70 percent of the requirements?
