Our high-performance professional fire brigade with a wide range of applications – from firefighting, technical assistance to civil and disaster protection offers you a challenging and varied training with well-founded theory at the Landesfeuerwehrschule in Bruchsal and practice-oriented stations at the fire department Freiburg and other fire brigades in the federal area.

You have completed university studies in the technical or scientific field in a technical field suitable for fire-fighting, e.g. mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, process engineering, security & safety engineering. You have a good sporty fitness and are suitable both health and personal for professional firefighters. You have at least the class B driving license (with authorization for manual transmission) and are ready to purchase the CE driving license. You should be willing to live in Freiburg or in the vicinity so that stratification is not an obstacle to you.

The appointment is made at 01.04.2027 in an official's relation to revocation. During the 2-year training in the upscale firefighting service, you will receive candidates' internal remuneration. Upon successful completion, a responsible and varied body awaits you in the official relationship to Probe in grade A 11 LBesO. In addition to the possibilities of ascent which are open to you within the course of the upscale fire-fighting service, the city of Freiburg offers you extensive training and health services, such as the cooperation with the “Hansefit” fitness association, as well as a high grant for the ÖPNV. .
