Number: MER0003VD3 Start as a working student*in for programming and system development for total vehicle analysis and process integration at Mercedes-Benz Cars in the production environment! As part of the Chief Engineer organization, our AEE department is responsible for the commissioning and diagnosis of electrical and electronic vehicle components throughout the production network. This includes the planning of the E/E test volumes, the creation of test software as well as the analysis of complex E/E error images during new calls and series production. As a result of the increasing number of vehicle functions and the increasing networking of the vehicle systems, the complexity is high and is increasingly shifting to commissioning in the production process. To support our team, we are looking for a dedicated student assistant with a focus on programming.

The following tasks await you: Development of automation scripts and analysis tools (Python, JavaScript)

Support in the development of processes, methods and tools for complex testing and diagnostic systems

Support in the field of software integration processes in the production environment

Analysis of data, logs and measurement values for prioritization and assessment of complaints

Analyze the available records and environmental information for assessing and plausibility as well as prioritizing and assigning complaints

Implementation and monitoring of quality assurance measures

Agile design of flexible and stable production processes taking into account the temporary interference factors (e.g. special mountings, series tests)

Full implementation and monitoring of quality assurance measures, documentation and consistent tracking of errors

Identifying potential for improvement in standardization, automation and new technologies

Compilation of documentation and support in technical votes

The activity can start from January 2026.

Study programme in the field of computer science, software engineering or a comparable degree programme

Good programming knowledge of Python, C, C++ sowi JavaScript

First experience in software development (also through projects / university / private applications)

Interest in topics such as: vehicle operation, E/E, diagnostic systems, data analysis, automation

Self-employed and structured work
