Installation, configuration, administration and backup/recovery of database management systems (DBMS) Implementation of automation processes for the installation, adaptation and monitoring of databases using appropriate tools Creation and maintenance of operating concepts and operating manuals Control of external service providers for database management systems that are not provided as a full service by the team Conception, evaluation and further development of end-to-end services in an international environment - from technical architecture to operational maturity (e.g. 'Database as a Service', hybrid cloud solutions) Participation in the design of cloud-native database solutions in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure and OpenShift and their integration into existing system landscapes Conception and integration of container-based architectures such as Kubernetes for providing scalable and highly available database solutions Translation of strategic architecture specifications into implementable service and solution designs with focus on databases, automation and containerization This location can be occupied at the locations in Berlin, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Kassel, Kiel, Neuenstadt and Unterlüß or possibly remotely.

A successfully completed study in the field of IT or comparable training Multiannual professional experience in the administration and administration of database management systems in enterprise environments focusing on Oracle DB and/or MS SQL Server Knowledge in one or more of the following database management systems is desirable: MySQL / MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, InfluxDB, Elasticsearch and CockroachDB Experience with the design, operation and maintenance of database management systems in containerized environments such as Kubernetes is as desirable as expertise with the operation, monitoring and optimization of database management systems in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure and OpenShift Experience in the role of a Solutions Architect or comparable knowledge in architectural design Very good knowledge of German and good English in word and writing Enthusiasm for building work and further development within an IT transformation Systematic thinking, methodological approach and creativity as well as high operational readiness, teamability and resilience Intercultural competence and readiness for occasional missions
