Hotel Rappen in Rothenburg ob der Tauber has hospitality tradition, since 1603 in the then “Gasthof zum Rappen”. Thus, we have been an integral part of the history of the historic Reichsstadt for over 400 years. Located directly on the main road in front of Galgentor, one of the main entrances through the Wehrmauer to the historic old town, the Rappen has a great location, is easy to find and approachable. With our 4-star hotel, we are there for our national and international clientele – whether for business or private matters. Hotel Rappen is a grown hotel complex with 150 hotel rooms, categorized in eight newly renovated rooms. We have an á-la-carte restaurant with 4 guest rooms and a beer garden. The cuisine is Franconian and international, as well as pancake specialities. In addition, we can organize events for up to 300 people with our diverse meeting and celebration rooms. As Sous Chef/in, you play a vital role in our kitchen. You design processes, shape the culinary style of our house and, together with your team, ensure that each dish carries the handwriting of our kitchen – regionally, creatively and with the highest quality standards. Responsibility You support the chef in the management of the entire kitchen and take responsibility for a smooth process. Menu design: You actively participate in the planning and implementation of seasonal menus and culinary events. Quality: You ensure that our high standards in taste, presentation and hygiene are consistently adhered to. Team leadership: You motivate, promote and coordinate the kitchen team with organizational talent and role model function.

Experience: You have a completed training as a cook/cook and bring several years of experience in the upscale gastronomy or hotel industry.
