AI Solution Architect (m/f/d)

This creates innovative solutions based on modern AI development tools that will be productively operated within our highly regulated hospital environment. As an AI Solution Architect, you will be involved in the technical integration of future-oriented AI solutions into the clinical and administrative processes of the University Hospital Cologne. In this role, you are responsible for the secure, scalable and regulatoryly compliant connection of AI solutions, LLMs, agent systems and automation solutions to existing hospital IT systems and thus contribute significantly to the digital transformation of the University Hospital Cologne. Technical integration: Development of sustainable concepts for the integration of AI solutions into existing hospital IT (e.g. KIS, RIS, PACS, SAP, identity and workflow systems) Architecture Responsibility: Development of scalable end-to-end architectures taking into account user interactions, data flows, interfaces, safety requirements and operating models Prototyping: Development of AI prototypes in an interdisciplinary, joint team to verify the integration concept Implementation: Accompanying AI initiatives and integration projects from conception to productive implementation Technology selection: selection of suitable technologies, platforms, frameworks and architectural approaches for different technical requirements and operating models Innovation: introduction of impulses related to current AI trends and developments, active communication and know-how Sharing Standardization: Definition of architectural standards, development of best practices and introduction of reference architectures and frameworks for the company-wide use of AI solutions Governance: Establishing integration principles and technological guidelines for a scalable, secure and sustainable IT landscape with AI integration Compliance: Data protection, information security and AI compliance (including GDPR, KRITIS, NIS2, AI-ACT)

Ideally studies medical informatics, computer science or medicine with appropriate IT further education Embossed practical experience in the field of artificial intelligence, ideally in the context of a maximum provider / university clinic Strong analytical and IT architectural skills for structuring and designing complex technical relationships Experience in building up and implementing modern Agentic AI architectures as well as AI-based automation solutions Knowledge of modern operating and development models such as DevOps, MLOps or LLMOps Knowledge and practical experience in the fields of AI governance, AI security and regulatory requirements in the context of AI systems High problem-solving competence as well as structured and targeted working methods Impressed communication skills both in writing and oral to address-oriented communication Ability to work both in the team and independently
