Senior Transportation Manager (m/f/d)

You are responsible for the continuous optimization of our transport network and develop efficient, scalable and sustainable transport solutions You identify and minimize transport-related safety risks and, together with internal and external partners, ensure the safety and integrity of our goods along the entire transport network You continuously develop our cooperation with carriers and logistics service providers, establish sustainable partnerships and are a key player in operational or performance-related escalation You analyze transport costs and performance data, identify optimization potentials and implement measures to increase efficiency and efficiency in a sustainable manner You control the transport performance on the basis of relevant KPIs, initiate improvement measures in case of deviations and advance continuous improvements together with internal stakeholders and transport service providers You conduct or coordinate transport-related optimization and improvement projects and work closely with relevant departments, production sites and warehouses You continuously develop transport processes, tools and systems, identify potentials for automation and digitalization and support their implementation You develop meaningful reports, dashboards and KPIs and create a transparent and data-based basis for decisions and performance control You will follow relevant developments in the transport environment, in particular in the field of sustainability, and will take appropriate measures and optimization potentials for our transport management

Completed studies or commercial vocational training as an industrial businessman/wife or forwarding businessman/wife, with training as a specialist or Bachelor Mind. 3-5 years of professional experience in transport management, ideally in an international and complex supply chain environment Funded knowledge of transport planning, carrier management and the management and development of logistics service providers Experience in transport alerts and in contract and SLA negotiations Detectable successes in process optimization and implementation of systems and digital solutions Good SAP knowledge and strong affinity for digitalization and data-based solutions Experience in transport and performance management as well as in handling KPIs, reports and data analyses Expressed analytical and solution-oriented thinking as well as the ability to quickly capture complex relationships and translate them into concrete measures Secure stakeholder management and joy in working with different internal and external contacts First knowledge and experience in the field of sustainability and a good understanding of current developments in the transport and logistics environment Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing, other foreign languages are advantageous
