The Desk Officer will assist the Project Manager with desktop research and project implementation.

Responsibilities Support Project Manager and Programs Officer Maintain relationships with project partners Contributing to the preparation of reposts Preparation of texts tables, graphics and presentations Contributing to communication and administration Supporting the development of data collection and analysis in the field of occupational safety and health (OSH) Exchange with Chinese partner institutions on ongoing data collections Organization of events Track timelines and deliverables Further tasks according to instructions

Qualifications and skills University degree of at least three years or equivalent degree in a discipline relevant to the scope of the assignment, search as occupational safety and health (OSH). Ability to identify, organize, provide and manage technical input and support to project activities. Strong analytical skills and computer literacy. Proven excellent report writing and communication skills in English and Mandarin (native speaker).

General professional experience Minimum 3 years of general professional experience, ideally with an EU financed project. Experience in an international environment is an asset. Specific professional experience Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in the field of capacity building and training in the field of data collection and analysis. Previous work experience in China is required. Experience in working successfully with representatives of organizations in the field of expertise is an asset. Knowledge on OSH data management in China
