The BBK is the head office of the Federal Government for National Crisis Management in Germany. We ensure the quality of crisis management in a central coordination role with federal, international and cross-sector partners. In view of this task, our interdisciplinary team is growing steadily. Modern library profile - You develop the library profile of the specialist information center together with colleagues of the unit, taking into account new media and service offerings strategically and forward-looking. Projects - You work on library-specific projects and initiate cooperation and networking with institutions from the cultural, educational and social sectors, associations and institutions regionally and supra-regionally. Digitalization - You are responsible for the development of the digital service and the licensing management of the specialist information center, manage databases, electronic media and value journals for documentation. You perform the cataloguing on the basis of library rules and an in-house thesaurus. Consultation - You carry out research and are responsible for providing documents and telephony as well as the user service including the advice of the customers of the specialist information office.

You have successfully completed your studies (Bachelor/Diplom FH) in the field of library and information management. You have several years of practical professional experience in library and knowledge management. You have knowledge of special digital processes in libraries and have an IT affinity. You are aware of the latest developments in the library sector and in the field of innovative professional library development. Ideally, you can prove them. You like to work in the team and act very service-oriented. You communicate competently and appear address-oriented. Current written and oral German knowledge (C2 according to GER) complete your profile. Since our tasks are safety-relevant and event-oriented, we need your willingness to extend the safety review and to participate in the BBK crisis organisation.

Application of officials – If you are in an official relationship, we will take you – in the presence of the career requirements for a federal service – until the grade A 11 is equal to the status by means of a disorder with the aim of the assignment.
