Senior Maintenance Technician

Our maintenance and maintenance team (Reliability Maintenance Engineering Team or RME team) is the core of Amazon's commitment to innovation. Amazon continues to evolve and this team ensures that these are also the technologies and tools we use. As a senior RME Technician, you help us stay one step ahead of development. You use the latest technologies and identify new, efficient working methods. In this role, you look closely at our processes and help us follow and further increase our highest safety standards. A day in the life You enter a maintenance team within a layer and make sure that all employees have the necessary tools available and work properly. This involves monitoring processes so that regulations and guidelines are followed, as well as ensuring the implementation of preventive maintenance measures to maximize the operating time of our plants. Through your observations during shiftwork, you make suggestions for improvement to make our systems even more efficient and productive and implement these improvements across the EU. In addition, you use tools such as SCADA to monitor processes to ensure their performance, and support administrative tasks in close cooperation with your executives. You work locally in one of our logistics centers. You work in shift models that can include nights and weekends. With the knowledge and experience you collect, you will develop into further leadership positions. About the team Our maintenance and maintenance team (Reliability Maintenance Engineering Team or RME team) ensures that our devices and equipment work optimally at any time. We are a team of technicians:inside and engineer:inside, which consists of excellent team players and is led by experienced managers. We work together to maintain, repair and troubleshoot the devices in our entire global network of filling centers. Some of our employees are executives who supervise the team at work on exciting, innovative technology – which is partly only available at Amazon. From the installation of automated packaging systems to the supervision of the general maintenance work of a site, as well as the repair of equipment essential to the distribution, our team is developing a large number of technical tasks at Amazon. Among other things, it also ensures that buildings continue to comply with the legal requirements, so that everyone stays safe and our locations are operated with maximum efficiency. There are numerous opportunities to climb in the RME team as well as in the entire Amazon company. All our activities are designed to reduce the downtime at Amazon's most important operating locations so that customers receive their orders in time. We often work early in the morning, late in the evening or in the night shift to carry out maintenance work with the lowest possible disturbances. If we find a better way to do a specific task, we have the skills and opportunities to introduce completely new processes or groundbreaking technology such as Amazon Robotics or our Complex Item Varietor.
