ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions stands for ground-breaking measuring technology with more than 100 years of tradition. We develop and produce high-performance tactile, optical 3D and X-ray measuring instruments and simultaneously offer suitable software solutions for evaluating the measurement data. With a strong and broad technology and software portfolio, comprehensive know-how as well as a global set-up, ZEISS is a leading partner in a wide range of industrial sectors, such as electromobility, medical technology, additive manufacturing and aircraft engineering.

For our Business Unit Optical Systems at Braunschweig we are looking for an experienced developer (m/w/x) with the following tasks:

As a hardware-close software developer (m/w/x), you design software architectures and implement complex algorithms on different hardware platforms. You work closely with hardware, software and research teams. Design and design of software architectures, workflows and functions for optical measurement systems

Hardware-related implementation of these workflows on different processor platforms (CPU, Embedded Systems, GPU)

Performance-optimized implementation and porting of complex GPU-based algorithms (OpenCL, volcano, CUDA)

Profiling, optimization and stabilization of time-critical components (runtime, storage, throughput)

Close cooperation with our interdisciplinary team of research, development, production and sales

Complete studies in computer science, electrical engineering, technical computer science, physics or comparable

Very good knowledge of C and C++ (ideally modern C++ standards)

Experience in hardware-related software development (e.g. embedded, drivers, real-time, performance-critical applications)

Solid Linux knowledge (development, toolchains, scripts)

Ideally experience in high-performance programming (parallelization, multithreading, SIMD, vectorization)

Experience with GPU programming (OpenCL, volcano, CUDA) is a big plus

Analytical Strength, Structured Work and Targeted Solution Invention

High motivation, team skills and joy in complex technical challenges

If you work privately on performance/GPU projects, open source software or embedded/maker projects, you can briefly mention them in your application.

Become part of our team and set new standards in industrial measurement technology!
