The Klinikum Freising is a hospital located in the historical university town of Freising near Munich, which is the basic and regular hospital of the Technical University of Munich. Around 15,000 stationary and 27,000 outpatient patients are supplied annually in eleven Mediterranean apartments with 335 beds. The Department of Anaesthesia is currently responsible for six operating rooms and three external workstations, in which approximately 7,000 anaesthesia from the areas of accident surgery and orthopaedics, spinal surgery and neurotraumatology, general surgery including thorax and vascular surgery, gynecology and birth control, HNO All established anaesthetic methods are used. A major point of the department is to conduct continuous central and sono-graphically controlled peripheral nerve blockages. All current regional procedures are applied and taught. Other areas of the department are the Interdisciplinary Intensive Care Unit (two beds and four IMC beds), the Palliative Station (teen beds), emergency medicine and the care of patients with acute pain at the Freising Clinic. The Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Medicine at the Freising Clinic is authorized to continue fully in the field of anaesthesia, intensive medicine, emergency medicine and palliative medicine.
