We are looking for an accountant General Ledger & Tax (m/w/d) in our sales and service center in Gießen at the next possible time in the area of Finance.

You support and advise specialist areas as well as decision-makers in accounting and accounting issues and clarify provisions for recovery. In addition, you contribute to the solution of complex business incidents and accompany internal and external audits for our German and Austrian market organisations. You work with the creation of monthly, quarterly and annual accounts (US-GAAP and HGB) as well as with fiscal topics. You analyze key accounts, create evaluations and clarify booking processes. At the Payroll interface, you process the monthly booking data from the payroll accounting of our German and Austrian market organizations and take over the clarification of the relevant facts. The coordination of the topics of plant accounting, the processing of master data and information on lease/rental obligations also belong to your tasks. You optimize booking processes & processes and take appropriate projects if necessary. The processing of wage tax issues, among others in connection with events and non-compliance, is also part of your activities, as is the reporting for the group taxi reporting. With the controlling team (local and group) as well as our European Financial Shared Service Center, you will be regularly exchanged. You provide care that the statutory and operational requirements and guidelines in the General Ledger & Tax area are always complied with.

You have a successfully completed commercial vocational training and have ideally completed a specialist training (e.g. as a balance sheet holder/IHK (m/w/d) or farmer VWA (m/w/d) or have completed an economic study (focus on finance/accounting or comparable). In the best case, you have already been able to gain first professional experience in the financial accounting of an industrial company, including graduate activities and have a good general practical understanding in the field of taxes, in particular wage tax and turnover tax. We are happy to give a chance to motivated career starters. You are familiar with the principles of HGB accounting regulations. U.S. GAP identifiers are advantageous, but not absolutely necessary. MS-Office, especially Excel, belongs to your craftsmanship. Ideally, You have already gained first insights into SAP, especially in the FI/CO module, and also have knowledge in the field of business intelligence applications. You convince us with your independent and structured way of working, your good communication and know how to set your priorities right. You like to work in the team and are open to learning new things. Very good German and good English in word and writing complete your profile.
