We are looking for a Senior Systemarchitect*in for Data Platforms (m/w/d) at the Central Control and Services Department of Central Applications Full-time, unlimited The central IT department is responsible for the digital nervous system of the city of Ulm and forms the basis for digitalization on the way to Smart City. A new urban data platform is currently being created, which will serve as a central foundation for data-driven applications, networking and modern administrative processes. Payment is made according to personal suitability up to 11 TVöD.

Conception, construction and further development of a central data platform for the city of Ulm Development and implementation of modern data management – from data modeling to data provision Building a master data management system for consolidating, maintaining and managing master data Standardization and automation of data provision and updating processes Determination, preparation and integration of relevant data stocks in close coordination with the departments Programming and development of interfaces, internal tools and data integration components Cooperation with software manufacturers and external partners for seamless system integration of urban applications Management and maintenance of the software components used in cooperation with external service providers (2nd-/3rd-level support)

completed university studies (e.g. in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Business Mathematics) or alternatively completed training as a specialist informatics with correspondingly deepened professional knowledge multi-year relevant professional experience at senior level high self-initiative and joy in shaping new things and networking across the field well-founded knowledge in Java, Python and JavaScript as well as extensive experience in handling databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) secure SQL knowledge and competence in data modeling, mapping, interface development and system integration logical-analytical thinking, joy of innovation and motivation to actively drive the digitalization of the city of Ulm independent, solution- and service-oriented operation in the team as well as high reliability and sense of responsibility of advantage: knowledge in municipal administration Experience in project management Knowledge of master data management systems and API management platforms (e.g. Gravitee.io) Knowledge of data standards and legal frameworks
