In your role as technical assistant for metallography and material analysis (m/w/d), you play a crucial role in the independent implementation, evaluation and documentation of microscopic and material science investigations of galvanically coated materials and substrates according to standards and customer specifications. Thus, your work directly supports our research departments. This position requires your willingness to ensure consistent quality in routine activities, as well as openness to cooperation in innovative solutions and support other departments within materials technology.

Your responsibility performing metallographic/microscopic studies using light and electron microscopy, EDX and other advanced techniques Materialographic transverse grinding preparation Analysis of microstructural features using suitable microscopic methods Investigation of material defects (error analysis) to determine the causes and delivery of recommendations for corrective and preventive measures Self-employed development and introduction of new methods of investigation Presentation of results against in- and external customers Close cooperation with interdisciplinary teams (e.g. R&E) to support the development of new materials, the optimization of manufacturing processes and the improvement of product performance Training of colleagues and customers in German and English Creation of meaningful technical reports, presentations and documentation (e.g. standard work instructions/SOPs) as well as active application and further development of the quality management system (ISO 9001 and ISO 17025)
