The Utility Services department is responsible for coordinating, organizing and offering end-user services of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek. This includes the magazine management of the book stock and the provision of printed literature as well as digital media. Further focus is on providing on-site and digital information services, as well as a wide range of trainings, guided tours through the house and creation of tutorials. The department develops and presents the central website of the library, as well as the most important research tool, BSB DISCOVER!

Remuneration group 3 TV-L, full-time, limited by December 2028

Your tasks:

• Extracting selected books from the magazine
• further processing of books from regional state libraries
• careful checking of books based on various criteria such as e.g. B. Size, condition, title, year of publication
• Presorting, compilation and coordination of deliveries to the digitization center
• Transport of books with book weighing
• Presorting and resetting books to the right place

Your profile:

• readiness and ability to acquire thorough knowledge of the media stock of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek

Our offer:

• Full time office, limited to 31.12.2028
