Dual study program with a focus on radiation protection (m/w/d)

The Bundesgesellschaft für Endlager (BGE) is looking for a site for a high-radioactive waste end storage facility and is building the Konrad end storage facility for low- and medium-radioactive waste. The BGE keeps the Morsleben end camp open until shutdown and plans to recover the radioactive waste from the Asse shaft plant. The BGE is a federal company in the department of the Federal Environment Ministry.

Your varied study content They complete the basic study in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, radiation protection, radiation protection law, reconstruction and release, incident management and emergency protection, medical physics and environmental protection.

In addition to the theoretical learning phases, a practical training awaits you at our project sites in the areas of workplace, passenger, emission and emissions monitoring.

You will get to know radiation protection measurement technology, basics of radiochemistry/radioecology and thus the handling of radioactive substances as well as laboratory equipment.

In addition, you will get insights into the functioning of a nuclear medicine/radiation therapy clinic including radiology.

Your experience For enrollment at the DHBW Karlsruhe you need a general (abitur) or specialist university maturity or Fachhochschulreife with successful aptitude test at the Dual University.

For enrollment at the BA Riesa, you need a general (abitur) or subject-bound university qualification or professional college qualification, master, technician or a more completed vocational training with a successful entrance examination at the vocational academy.

Good to very good scientific knowledge in mathematics, physics and chemistry are absolutely necessary.

They are interested in legal issues, business management and organisational structures.
