The central core competence lies in the production of highly corrected spherical optics systems, which are used in particular in high-performance lenses of microscopy.

The focus of this role is on the strategic and operational purchase of mechanical components (e.g. milling, turning and sheet metal components) including cost optimization, supplier selection and further development of the associated supply chain

Your role Technical and commercial analysis of customer requests as well as derivation of appropriate value-added and sourcing structures (e.g. internal/external, low/high-cost production)

Defining and controlling the commercial request parameters (e.g. target prices, lot sizes) including active tracking, reporting and early escalation

Implementation of the material group and sourcing strategy in close cooperation with strategic and operational purchasing and customer segments

Technical and commercial optimization of offers and ongoing products (cost analysis, benchmarking, make-or-buy, substitution of parts/materials) including risk assessment

Responsibility for early consideration of supply chain and procurement issues in the product development process, redesigns and optimization projects

Acquisition, including definition of project-related sourcing strategies and coordination of all necessary SCM resources

negotiations with suppliers and moderation of commercial topics in the project context; Ensuring compliance with export regulations

Maintenance of relevant procurement and product master data in SAP as well as preparation and presentation of achieved savings potentials and achievement of targets in the responsibility area

Your profile

Complete university degree (e.g. Bachelor/FH diploma) or comparable technical training with further education as well as multiannual relevant professional experience in the field of development, production or procurement

First experience in the management of complex technology or industrialization projects, ideally in a technologically demanding environment

Embossed methodological, structured and analytical methods with high quality and cost awareness

Convincing communication strength, enforcing ability and joy in working with interdisciplinary teams as well as suppliers

Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing, safe in the international environment
