This awaits you in your practical phases at the ELW in Wiesbaden:

You will get to know the most important elements of waste management in practice You gain experience in waste management and logistics You will get to know the processes of circular economy and process techniques

This is how the dual study is structured:

You start at the disposal companies of the Landeshauptstadt Wiesbaden (ELW) on 01.09.2026 with an introduction phase in the company Your studies at the Dual University of Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) in Heilbronn begin on 01.10.2026 The study runs in the regular 12-week rhythm:

• Twelve weeks theory at the DHBW in Heilbronn, followed by twelve weeks practice at the ELW in Wiesbaden
• This change is repeated over the entire period of three years At the end of your studies, complete with a Bachelor's thesis

You have successfully completed your (special) abitur (although) or have a corresponding professional qualification (https://www.heilbronn.dhbw.de/studies/acquisition and admission/acquisition requirements/) The subjects Math, Physics and Chemistry scare You are not off and you have great interest in engaging in environmental protection, valuables management and recycling You are aware that dual studies involve a regular change between Heilbronn and Wiesbaden – you should be flexible and well organized. To adjust to changing environments, it is not a problem for you You are communicative and look forward to working in a great team Targeted and independent work is of course for you
