Psycho-oncologist (m/f/d)

The Psychooncological Service is part of the certified oncological centers at the Städtische Klinikum. The team consists of four psychologists who are primarily responsible for the psychooncological care of patients and their relatives in individual, couple or family talks at all stages of the treatment. There is close cooperation with people from different professional groups. Participation in interdisciplinary and multi-professional case and team meetings as well as tumour conferences, intervision, supervision and network meetings are also part of the tasks. If necessary, further psychooncological care measures are provided. The team is completed by our psychooncological assistant. It mainly carries out psychosocial stress screenings. Their future area of responsibility includes the support of patients and their members of the Viszeraloncological Centre. These include patients with intestinal, pancreatic and esophageal cancer.

Approbation zum Psychological Psychotherapeuten (m/w/d), at least one ongoing or completed recognised psychotherapeutic further education Psychooncological training (recognised by the DKG), in so far as such an additional qualification is not yet available, the willingness to participate in a corresponding external training is necessary strong sensitivity, commitment, flexibility, team capacity and mental resilience Joy in an independent and responsible working style In addition, we wish: Experience in dealing with cancer patients (m/w/d), also advanced patients Knowledge of relaxation methods Experience in therapeutic discussion, resource activation, crisis intervention and conflict management Willingness and ability to deal with existential issues in the context of cancer or other serious diseases
