Approval Manager Environmental Approval Procedures (m/f/d)

You provide environmental approval procedures for the exploration of possible end storage sites for highly radioactive waste. This includes, in particular, the licensing examination of projects, the merger and verification of environmental and nature-protection documents relevant to the authorisation and the preparation of application documents. Ensuring the implementation of project-related measures for the protection of the environment and nature as well as the planning and implementation of compensatory and replacement measures, the planning and implementation of conservation measures as well as the creation of nature-protection documents (FFH-VS, UVS, art-protection-law contribution, LBP, etc.) and all related nature-protection activities are part of your task. The cooperation with and management of contractors in the context of the creation of natural protection documents and the implementation of nature conservation measures also falls within your field of activity. You perform the interface function between the operating areas in connection with obtaining permits, possibly also temporarily at the exploration sites on site. In addition, You are responsible for the clarification and further development of legal issues with supervisory and approval authorities, possibly also in the local exploration regions.

You have completed technical or scientific studies with reference to environmental protection (Diplom or Master). You have experience in the field of environmental approval procedures and their nature conservation expert accompaniment. You have good knowledge of the protected areas (natural and landscape protected areas, Natura 2000, etc.) as well as the content and application of relevant European and national environmental regulations. You ideally have professional experience in a similar field. Experience in connection with end camps, location selection processes or radioactive waste is desirable. You are convinced with communication strength and a sovereign appearance. with a pronounced strategic and conceptual thinking capacity. with an independent, targeted and conscientious way of working. with a strong team and dialogue capability. with a very good oral and written expressiveness as well as with reliable German knowledge on C1 level.
