Our Testing Components & Aggregates - Battery (RD/EPA) department is responsible for the entire battery testing of all series at different integration levels. As a team „Testing Batterie Safety und Mechanik“ we accompany our fully-electric test specimens from the first concept validation to the series release through the complete safety certification. We are responsible for carrying out and design test bench tests and test cells, modules and entire batteries with control units on “heart and kidneys”. In addition to the hardware, the software backup MB.OS is also an essential test task in the security environment. Thus, on our internal and external test stands in Nabern and in the future Untertürkheim we ensure transparency about the degree of maturity of the safety concepts and areas of action of the projects. In parallel with series certifications, we are responsible for every battery variant for car applications from Mercedes Cars and various pre-development projects. Our goal is to test as realistic as possible to efficiently carry out safety and functional testing and to prepare targeted results as well as to expand our test expertise and to help shape the electromobility of the future together with the specialist areas. As an intern*in, in addition to the close experience of our safety tests, you will work with us on the following topics: Development of a variable voltage supply source with analog digital converter via SPI

Development and adaptation of measurement technology in our environment

Optimization of test specifications

Support for experimental engineers in their daily work

The activity can begin from March 2026.

Course in the field of technical orientation (e.g. / e-technology / mechatronics)

Complete basic study

C programming skills

Knowledge of electrical engineering

Very good knowledge of German in word and writing
