Senior Consultant (m/w/d)

The Asklepios Klinik Altona is a house of maximum care. In 20 specialist departments, 32,000 patients are hospitalized per year and more than 50,000 patients are hospitalized. The house supplies a regional catchment area from Hamburg, Niedersachsen and Schleswig-Holstein. More than 3,000 babies come to the world every year in our large birth clinic with the Perinatal Center Level 1. Further focuses are our comprehensive emergency care in one of the largest ZNA Hamburgs, our intensive care center and the care through a wide and specialized internalistic spectrum of clinics oncology, gastroenterology pneumology, rheumatology, cardiology and neurology. The operating focuses include a head and neuro center, including ophthalmology and neck and ear medicine, a gastro center with robotics, heart-to-face center, a supra-regional trauma center and a center for men's and women's health. As part of the succession (Prof. Dr. Joachim Röther) we are looking for a head physician of neurology from May 2026. The department treats the entire spectrum of neurology with over 3,000 stationary cases per year. The special focus of the department is the supply of complex neurovascular patients in the supra-regional Stroke Unit, the neurological IMC Station and the Intensive Center. In intensive interdisciplinary cooperation with the departments of neuroradiology, neurosurgery, vascular surgery and cardiology, the neurocentre coordinates the neurovascular network Nordelbe with eight partner clinics. The neurocentre is certified according to GBA guidelines as one of the largest neurovascular centers in northern Germany. In addition, a further focus is on neurological, neurosurgical early rehabilitation, which is to be extended to a 20 bed station. The Parkinson complex treatment is also offered.
