In this function, you proactively ensure that all employees work at your location in a safe and healthy environment. You have the opportunity to make a difference for people every day. By making proactive for their security, you give them confidence in their role and motivate them to top performance.Key job responsibilities monitoring the location performance based on fixed KPIs and creating plans to improve processes.

• Development of occupational safety and training programmes.
• Evaluation of safety indicators and trends in incidents to support colleagues in resource planning for areas with the highest risk.
• Implementation of audits to ensure compliance with relevant occupational safety laws and to implement solutions to identified risks. A day in the life You work on site at one of our logistics locations — a filling center, sorting center or a delivery station. That's where you're taking the processes. In addition to ensuring compliance with work protection regulations, you can identify potential problems and opportunities for improvements. You work closely with employees throughout the company to understand the risks You are exposed to and collect data to develop smarter and safer ways of working. In addition, you develop training and other programs to meet all the new safety processes and meet new standards.About the teamThe Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team plays a key role in ensuring the mental and physical well-being of our employees at work. Our team is working with executives, employees and local authorities at all our sites to ensure compliance with Amazon policies and legal regulations and to ensure the safety of our working environments. The team offers a wide range of opportunities, from Safety Technicians to Program Managers. Regardless of your position, you contribute to the development and implementation of the security strategy across the network.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certification as a “work safety specialist”
• Understanding German Environmental and Industrial Protection Acts
• Advanced German and English skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with Lean, 5S or Kaizen methods
• ability to plan or manage environmental initiatives
