Contract Manager

Heat and energy are our contribution to the quality of life – every day new. As BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH we supply the capital with electricity and heat in a climate-friendly manner. Our district heating network is the largest Western Europe with a length of more than 2,000 kilometres. We supply about one third of the Berlin households with heat. With the know-how of our 2,300 employees, we cover the entire value chain of district heating – from production to grid operation and expansion to distribution. At high pressure, we work at the coal exit until 2030 and at climate-neutral production from 2045. In this way, we support the Land of Berlin significantly when reaching its climate targets. On the way to this we want to realize a higher proportion of renewable energies and waste heat. To do this, we need to redesign many of our sites and facilities. For the BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH we are looking for you as contract manager at the location Berlin in an indefinite position. Your tasks As a representative of the contracting entity, you are responsible for contract management for large and medium-sized construction projects in the field of energy production, You create, negotiate, monitor and manage plant construction contracts, You conduct contract management teams at project level professionally, You identify and communicate to the project management claims risks and own claims during the performance of the contract; You process and document claims, supplements, contractual changes, negotiations, comparisons and correspondence structured and court-proof, You communicate with all project participants and internal stakeholders independently and pro-actively, You'll start and report meaningful KPI's about the launch and execution of the contract to the project management, With your knowledge, you contribute to continuously developing contract management in the company.

Your profile successfully completed university/higher education in the field of law, economics, engineering disciplines or comparable qualifications, flowing knowledge of German and English on at least level C1 (as the main working language), at least 10 years of professional experience with comparable activities in major energy infrastructure projects; knowledge of different contract models (BGB, FIDIC, cooperative contract models, cost-plus-fee), Basic knowledge of procurement law, in particular SektVO, BerlAVG and GWB, Safe appearance, strategic thinking, leadership, team skills.
