Solution Architect - Cloud & AI Platforms (m/f/d)

As Solution Architect Cloud & AI Platforms, you are responsible for the end-to-end architecture of AI solutions on Azure and ensure alignment on the Azure Well-Architected Framework. This creates stable, secure and scalable platforms. Architectures are designed to take account of security, reliability, performance, cost optimization and operational excellence from the outset. Enterprise-wide landing zones and environmental topologies define and implement according to Azure Cloud Adoption Framework and set the basis for scalable and compliant AI development. In addition, you develop and maintain reference architectures, Architectural Decision Records (ADRs) and infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD templates that lead teams through spikes, Proofs of Concept and reference implementations. Production-Readiness ensures by establishing security and data protection controls, observability standards, high availability and disaster recovery concepts as well as performance baselines. Design reviews and technology evaluations are carried out independently and advises on build-vs. -Buy decisions and the selection of suitable runtimes. In close cooperation with security, data, operations, compliance and platform teams, you drive architecture decisions and document them in a comprehensible manner via ADRs. Architecture options and trade-offs at risk, costs and time-to-value are communicated to you in an address-oriented manner – both against technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A completed study of computer science, business informatics, software engineering or a comparable technical degree course forms the basis for this role. Long-standing experience in Solution Architecture, Cloud Engineering or Platform Engineering, complemented by proven Azure expertise. The secure handling of Azure Landing Zones, the Azure Well-Architected Framework and the Cloud Adoption Framework is a standard one for you. Deep knowledge of AI/ML platforms such as Azure OpenAI, Azure ML and MLOps pipelines as well as in modern data architectures. Infrastructure-as-Code and Automation you use routiniert, in particular with Terraform, Bicep or ARM Templates as well as CI/CD pipelines. Experience in building Security Controls, Observability Patterns and Production Readiness standards is what distinguishes you. Cloud-native architectures, microservices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS) are at expert level. Networks, identity management (Azure AD, RBAC) and compliance frameworks are familiar to you in practice. Architectural decisions validate pragmatically about prototypes and proofs of concept. The documentation of architectures and the work with ADR processes are of course for you. Your working style is pragmatic, collaborative and balances innovation with operational excellence.
