Clinical psychologist with a license to practice medicine or in advanced therapy training (m/w/d)

The Städtische Klinikum Karlsruhe is the largest hospital in the Middle Rhine region. During the day and around the clock, more than 4,500 qualified employees ensure the care of patients. In the Franz-Lust Klinik für Kinder- und Jugendmedizin (Director Prof. Dr. Sascha Meyer) the position as a Clinical Psychologist (m/w/d) with approbation or in advanced therapy training for the Kinder-onkologische Station Regenbogen is to be filled in part-time with 19.5 h/week. The body is first terminated for 2 years, with the option of unlimited extension.

The main focus of the activity is on psychosocial care in paediatric oncology / haematology in the psychology / psychooncological counselling. Accompanying and supporting paediatric patients with an oncological/hemato­logical disease and their references in the context of stationary in­tensic therapy Old age psychoeducation of children and relatives to their specific disease Preparation for necessary medical treatments Supportive conversations and resource activation Resource activation and, as needed, theoretical interventions in mental vulnerabilities or acute crisis situations Perspective takeover of activity in the local aftercare

A diploma or master's degree of psycho­gie, with a clinical focus as possible A completed or advanced psychotherapeutic additional training (e.g. behavioral therapy / systemic therapy) Impressed communication skills and awareness in the design of professional proximity A trauma or hypnotherapeutic further education Knowledge of development psychology and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of behavioural skills in childhood and youth Experience in test diagnostics Knowledge and experience in the care of chronically ill children and adolescents, with experience in paediatric psychology Interest in medical-psychological work Very good teamability and high social skills Individual initiative, self-responsibility and self-employment in work A professional approach to difficult and stressful situations, self-reflection and conscious self-care Loadability, sensitivity and intercultural competence Joy in working with families and the willingness to adapt to the specific needs of children with cancer / young people and their families Experience or a high level of learning to deal with the issues of life-threatening disease, disability, family dynamics, life crises, death, mourning, trauma
