Legal trainees for legal or elective positions in public procurement law and related areas of law (m/f/d)

We are a law firm that is oriented to business law and, in particular, renowned in the law of the award (regular awards such as WirtschaftsWoche “TOP Law Firm” for Contract Law, Germany’s best lawyer Handelsblatt and Best Lawyers, and JUVE Law firm of the Year for Contract Law 2022) in the heart of Berlin. Our clients are national and international companies as well as contracting authorities (e.g. the federal government, countries, universities, IT service providers, public enterprises). Our activities focus on the design, implementation and monitoring of complex public procurement projects. We regularly discuss issues relating to procurement law and the design of contracts, as well as issues relating to budgetary, grants and administrative law as well as European aid law. We advise projects on the digitization of public administration, infrastructure projects (in particular rail and road), on the procurement of services of any kind, including in the fields of research and development, healthcare, schools and universities, climate protection and security and defence. We support tenderers in competition for public contracts and represent the interests of our clients in audit procedures and judicial disputes. Other key areas of advice concern the financing and (re)structuring of public and public-private companies and cooperations, the legally compliant design of funding programmes, as well as the advice of grantors and recipients on compliance with EU law. We are looking for referendars with an above-average 1st state exam or comparable legal qualifications (Master, LL.M.) and very good communicative and organizational skills that want to support us as part of the legal or electoral station or even during the waiting period and actively.
