As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With more than 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security.

As a CISO Topic Area Manager Health Care, you are responsible for the application of the security methods as well as the quality of the implementation of security requirements for BWI's IT solutions and the Bundeswehr in the field of health care.

They overarche the implementation of information security requirements and support internal stakeholders as well as the customer Bundeswehr to design and operate secure, regulatoryly compliant and scalable IT system landscapes. You combine technological expertise with regulatory understanding and high quality requirements in consulting and implementation.

The role is part of the team CISO Disposition & Management – Topic Area Management. The team takes over tasks of the Second Line of Defence as part of the governance for the BWI and the customers Bundeswehr and ensures the implementation of the company-wide security governance.

In the team, security experts work with broad and deep expertise – from infrastructure and network security to cloud and SaaS security to AI architectures, application security and modern security technologies.

Your profile:

Complete university studies in the technical environment or a comparable qualification as well as at least 4 years of professional experience in IT, IT security or information security

Good knowledge of common security standards and frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, BSI, Zero Trust) as well as experience in security governance, risk and compliance processes

Understanding modern IT architectures, in particular enterprise, cloud, platform and integration architectures, as well as complex system landscapes

Experience in handling IT systems and regulatory requirements in healthcare

Experience in stakeholder management and in cooperation with management levels and various organisational units desirable

Ability to analyse complex and cross-disciplinary IT landscapes, evaluate risks and derive appropriate security measures

Embossed analytical thinking capacity, decision-making strength and a high degree of quality and customer orientation

Enforcement, conflictability and secure communication in demanding voting processes

German language skills and good English skills in word and writing

Your tasks:

Responsibility for the methodological and content implementation of information security in the topic of healthcare provision and advice of internal stakeholders and the customer Bundeswehr on secure IT architectures, integration of health systems and the safe operation of IT infrastructures

Respond to the application of security methods, standards and best practices as well as continuous development of architecture and security guidelines in the environment

Assessment, testing and approval of security concepts for the implementations as part of the operational security governance

Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal safety standards and controlling risk analyses and deriving appropriate measures, including their effectiveness

Cooperation with internal stakeholders and the customer Bundeswehr to further develop secure and scalable IT solutions in the healthcare environment
