As a development engineer (m/w/d) in the area of crane simulation, you actively shape the digital future of our port mobile, ship and offshore cranes. In interdisciplinary teams you develop realistic simulation solutions and digital twins for highly complex mechatronic systems. Development, integration and maintenance of modular simulations of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical crane subsystems Care and extension of existing digital twins based on MATLAB/Simulink Creation of new components for digital twin Conception, configuration and continuous support of hardware in the Loop (HiL) systems Modeling, analysis and optimization of control mechanisms, algorithms and dynamic system models Participation in controller development (modeling, validation, performance analysis) Creation of test strategies, derivation of test cases and performing automated and manual HiL tests Close cooperation with the fields of system development, testing, software application, electrical engineering and mechanics Preparation of technical documentation, model specifications and test reports
Successfully completed studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics, automation technology, computer science or a comparable field Embossed systemic understanding of mechatronic systems and software, ideally with knowledge in hydraulics and power electronics Experience in model-based development, causes and error analysis of complex systems Multiannual practical experience with MATLAB/Simulink, ideally complemented by Python, C++ or ROS Experience in building and operating real-time simulations and HiL platforms Knowledge with industrial bus systems (e.g. CANopen, J1939, EtherCAT) of advantage German and very good English skills Structured, self-responsible operation and high level of readiness for learning and innovation Team-oriented, communicative personality with analytical thinking
