ZEISS Microoptics is a unit of the Photonics & Optics strategic business unit specializing in the development, optimization, mastering, replication and integration of optical applications based on micro-optical and holographic optical elements.

At the next possible time we are looking for a 'Laboratory technician (m/w/x)' in full or part-time:

Ensuring incoming goods control of auxiliary and operating materials according to the current quality guidelines

Providing glass substrates and photopolymers: coordination of provision according to the requirements of the Tech team, including quality testing, documentation, inventory control and, where appropriate, order

Planning and implementation of large format laminations

Responsibility for cleanroom by, for example, filling up and ordering materials as well as ensuring order and cleanliness

Safe handling of hazardous substances, in particular solvents, varnishes, acids and alkalis, taking into account the use of the industrial dishwasher

Production of various solutions and determination of the refractive index by means of abbe refractometer

Self-input and maintenance of data for the detection of hazardous substances

Conducting paints with optical edge lacquer using airbrush technology

Application of SAP knowledge in the ordering system

performing tasks according to internal clean room standards

Laser cutter operation for precise cutting work

A completed training as a laboratory assistant (m/w/x) with a focus on chemistry or physics, physics-technical assistant (m/w/x) or a comparable qualification in a related area

Enthusiasm and commitment to work in the laboratory

No fear of longer working hours in the clean room

Ability to work effectively in the team

High reliability and sense of responsibility

Excellent ability to solve problems and work independently

Excellent communication skills in German and English, both oral and written
