In the IuK-Technik (administration) team, we are looking for a dedicated employee or a dedicated employee with experience in the operation of numerous services and IT infrastructure. The focus is on the Linux system administration of campus management. Your tasks include: Administration of various Linux servers (including web server, application server) Management and maintenance of database systems Continuous development of configuration management (including Ansible, Salt) Maintenance of websites and documentation on specific software products

You have completed university education (Bachelor) in computer science or a scientific discipline and ideally bring several years of professional experience in the Linux system administration. You have knowledge of the Java programming language and have experience in the safe, structured and performant operation of web applications with web servers (e.g. Apache) and Java application servers (e.g. Tomcat). We wish to experience databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) and directory services such as LDAP. Experiences in handling and operating container technologies (e.g. Docker/Podman) are advantageous. The ''git' version control system is sure to use open source solutions and you can write clearly structured documentation. You are an open-minded person, possess good communicative skills and act in a solution-oriented and targeted manner. Good self-organization and resilience are your strengths as well as teamwork. Good knowledge of English in word and writing are desired, as well as you have good knowledge of German (level based on at least C2) in word and writing, which allow you to serve our users in our two working languages.
