Number: MER00048HJ Become part of our cyber security team Not only do you want to learn theoretically about cyber security, but actively collaborate on real security issues in a professional IT and banking environment? As a working student in the field of cyber security at Mercedes-Benz Bank, you will gain insights into modern security technologies, processes and current threat scenarios. You help our team analyze security data, automate processes and develop existing security solutions. In doing so, you can practically use your knowledge of your studies, get to know new technologies and increasingly take on your own tasks. These challenges include: You support the automation of IT security processes, for example with n8n and REST APIs

You test, analyze and normalize SIEM and security log data

You help expand existing log sources to include additional information and security-relevant context

Together with us, you develop AI-based approaches for analyzing and evaluating security data

You support pre-evaluating and prioritizing potential security anomalies and security incidents

In the automated enrichment of security events, you can use additional context information

You support selected tasks around SIEM, SOC, EDR, Logging and Digital Forensics

In the further development and migration of security solutions into the cloud, you will

You document SIEM log sources, processes and technical relationships in our internal Atlassian wiki

You bring your own ideas for new analytics, automation and AI applications in the cyber security environment

You complete a degree with regard to computer science, business informatics, cyber security, data science or a comparable subject area

You communicate in German and English

You are interested in cyber security and you really want to understand technical connections

You have first knowledge of AI-based tools and interest in their use for data analysis and automation

You have basic knowledge of Windows, Linux and Microsoft Office

You work analytically, structured and reliable

You have the pleasure of getting to know new technologies and working yourself on technical topics

Ideally, you also bring: First experiences with REST APIs, JSON or regular expressions

Interest in SIEM, logging solutions and security processes

First experiences with automation platforms such as n8n

Interest in cloud technologies and cloud security

First experiences with Python, Bash or another script language
