What is it about? Our market network is constantly growing and we are opening up new OBI markets in Germany and abroad. The integration of the new locations into the OBI world needs support from almost all areas of the OBI headquarters in many places. In Category Management, you help with your team in the successful implementation of the OBI range.

Integration of new OBI locations: You are the engine behind successful integration and work hand in hand with specialist areas and franchise partners:in order to perfectly match product and shopping strategies

As an integral part of our cross-functional category management team, you will ensure the optimal assortment composition and the best supplier portfolio for every new OBI market

Analysis: A focus Your activity is based on the analysis of the stock and performance KPIs, but the importance of your work goes far beyond bare Excel sheets: you provide basics for decisions on assortment changes, the control of old goods and the integration of new assortments and suppliers. Costs and potentials you have in mind and help in deriving the best commercial approach

Location: From the first idea to the last touch You are opening new locations, taking responsibility for all processes around merchandise & assortment and agreeing closely with the relevant category managers

Communication: You are the central contact person and the link between our headquarters, the new markets and franchise partners. Your communication with all relevant stakeholders on assortment issues is clear, direct and targeted

Process and project management: The challenges to the integration of one or more sites are constantly changing and with each new market. You develop established processes, develop new approaches, and pay attention to the achievement of milestones and results in Category Management as well as in the overall project team

Data competence: Data is your compass – you use it to sharpen decisions and fully exploit potential. Knowledge of specific ranges is less relevant than the good basic understanding of processes in the retail trade and the ability to transfer questions in analyses and derive answers from prepared reports

Responsibility: Entrepreneurial responsibility you like and jongliers effortlessly between location-specific requirements and our central concepts

Project management: Each new opening of an OBI market is a small project. You ensure both the progress of the integration of individual locations, but at the same time develop holistic processes and logics for optimal and successful expansion

Hands-on mentality: You like to grab hands-on and immerse yourself deeply in details without losing sight of the big whole

Experience: You bring multi-year experience in project management and data analysis and know the retail from projects or previous employers. The opportunity to actively shape the expansion of OBI is particularly appealing to you

Qualification: A successfully completed study, fluent English skills, safe handling of Google Workspace/MS-Office and experiences with SQL/SSMS, Power Query, Power-BI and a high degree of self-responsibility round Your profile perfectly Python knowledge would be beneficial, but are not a must
