The Social Pedagogical Family Aid of the Diakonie Westsachsen is present at four locations (Crimmitschau, Zwickau, Werdau and Glauchau) in the Zwickau district. Our pedagogical professionals help families to cope with their everyday life and their educational tasks independently and sustainably. Through intensive consultation and individual support, parents and families are strengthened in their ability to act and supported in difficult situations of life. As part of a help plan procedure, we support families with children aged between 0 and 17.

Your tasks in the social pedagogical family help:

• looking for family support and support in stressful situations of life with emotional, psychological, social or economic challenges, as well as in educational difficulties – with the aim of stabilising family coexistence and avoiding children's external assistance
• Support in structuring and stabilising living conditions with special consideration of child welfare
• Consultation and support in the development of new life perspectives and promotion of resources and self-help within the family system

That's what you bring:

• completed studies Social work with the Department as a social education / social worker (m/w/d) (Dipl. or Bachelor)
• ideally the Additional training "Systemic advice" and professional experience in the field of education** or comparable fields of work
• pronounced social skills, openness, communication skills, flexibility and team skills
• passenger car license and willingness to use your own car for service purposes
