Support for the management of the institute in implementing the scientific strategy and further development of the research profile Analysis and preparation of relevant information and key figures, drafting of decision templates Creation of reports to the Helmholtz Association or Grants Leading development of the internal research database Organisation and implementation of workshops, meetings and other events at RIFS on research-strategic topics technical preparation and follow-up of committee meetings In-house communication on science-related topics including Care of the internal wiki Further development and monitoring of third-party funding strategy Further development of the cooperation strategy and governance as well as management of institutional cooperations and memberships Participation in the Internal Sustainability Management Further development, monitoring and implementation of the RIFS Strategy to Promote Transdisciplinary Early Career Scientists in close cooperation with the Career Center of the GFZ Participation in the further development of evaluation criteria and procedures for transformative and transdisciplinary research at RIFS Participation in evaluation processes of the Helmholtz Association and Sponsors

successfully completed university studies (master or comparable), doctorate is advantageous minimum. 2 years of professional experience as far as possible in the field of science (university, non-university research institute) good knowledge of the science system Basic understanding of database systems ideally experience with transdisciplinary research, as far as possible in the sustainability context professional experience at the interface between science, politics and civil society, as well as in reporting and (project) coordination, as well as knowledge of instruments and methods of quality assurance in research institutions and/or universities are desirable Knowledge of structures and workflows within the Helmholtz Association are of advantage pronounced analytical and strategic thinking very good organizational skills associated with careful and structured working and very good time management communicative competence to convey complex facts interculturally sensitive and context-specific very good oral and written communication skills in English and German Liability, a high degree of initiative and the ability to work both in the team and self-organized Joy in working in international/ diverse teams
