We are looking for a technically versed product owner to lead the development of our brand websites and digital front-end experiences within a modern, headless architecture. In this role, you form the decisive interface between our brand strategy and the technical implementation by converting ambitious brand targets into a functional and technical backlog for our API-driven frontends. You receive content and data from our backend systems (Storyblok CMS, PIM, CRM) and control our external development partners to realize attractive, powerful and globally scalable web experiences. Product vision & strategy Cooperation with the Business Owner website for the definition, communication and active communication of a clear product vision and a strategic roadmap for our decoupled frontend applications Ensuring alignment with brand identity and commercial objectives Backlog Management & Priority Responsibility for the product backlog of all front-end developments and its prioritization Creation of User Stories with Clear Acceptance Criteria, with focus on functions that use APIs from our Headless ecosystem (Storyblok, PIM, Salesforce) Definition of API contracts Central role in API design process as an important stakeholder Close cooperation with the E2E IT Architect and Backend team to define, develop and document API contracts (REST/GraphQL) to ensure a fault-free front-end functionality and data integration Control of service providers & partners Leadership and control of external front-end development partners across all support and delivery levels Clear definition of requirements, implementation of sprint planning and review sessions, as well as ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, tested and manageable code User Experience & Performance Promoting a user-centric and performance-oriented operation Use of analytics, user feedback and A/B tests for data-based decisions Definition and monitoring of Core Web Vitals and other performance indicators to ensure an outstanding user experience across all devices and regions Technologies & Innovation Conducting quarterly technology reviews of the frontend and headless stack Identification, piloting and promotion of tools and methods to improve the developer experience and our digital presence – with the aim of introducing at least one validated new capability per year

Training: successful completion (Bachelor or Master) in computer science, human-computer interaction, web design or a related field. Experience and know-how: multi-year/more than 6 years of proven experience as Product Owner, technical project manager or Lead Frontend Developer in an agile API-first environment, preferably in the global B2B context. Basic knowledge of modern front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+) as well as frameworks (React, Vue.js, Next.js), which are sufficient to determine the scope of work and critically question technical decisions. Practical experience with a headless CMS platform is required; preference is given to Storyblok. A thorough understanding of the JAMstack architecture and its ecosystem is assumed. Proven ability to design, document and work with RESTful or GraphQL APIs. Experience with API test tools (e.g. Postman, Insomnia) is required. Excellent knowledge of agile methods and backlog management (experience with Jira, Confluence or comparable tools). Personality and Operation: Embossed Communication and Stakeholder Management capabilities; able to understand technical concepts for non-technical target groups. Languages: English language skills (in word and writing) are required; German skills at work level are desirable.
