Team Leader Overall Financial Statements, Annual Financial Statements & Statement of Funds

You are responsible for the external accounting and the annual accounts of the MPG e. V. In this key position, you control the preparation of the overall financial statements according to HGB, from coordination of all organizational units to monitoring the external audits and usages. In addition, you will: Management, management and further development of the specialist team Final accounts, annual accounts & evidence of use Compilation of the annual accounts according to HGB including Annex and economic part of the management report Responsibility for payment accounting and the preparation and coordination of the evidence of use vis-à-vis the donors Preparation and preparation of financial and accounting topics relevant to the Board of Directors, Senate, Audit Committee and Annual General Meeting Participation in the organisation of and participation and presentation activities in meetings within the accounting system Further development and digitization of external accounting as well as optimisation of processes – in particular in the context of the SAP‐S/4HANA transformation

Successfully completed academic studies of business administration, economics or a comparable subject with a focus on accounting, finance or audit Multiannual work experience in external accounting and the preparation of annual accounts according to HGB knowledge of accounting; Knowledge of the public budget and the right to grant or of the Cameralist bookkeeping is advantageous Experience in leadership, motivation and further development of employees Secure handling of SAP (ideally also SAP S/4HANA), Microsoft Office applications as well as experience in dealing with AI applications or the willingness to work into appropriate systems Designed analytical and conceptual skills, a structured and self-responsive way of working, and a secure and addressable communication capability Ideally, experience in cooperation with audits and the optimization of financial and accounting processes Very good knowledge of German and good English in word and writing
