Head of Secure Identity & Priviliged Management (SIPM)

now and in full time preferred in Munich, alternatively nationwide at one of our BWI locations.

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,700 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security.

The Competence Center IT-Security (CCITS) bundles the operational IT information and cyber security competencies with the task of embracing these security services and services cross-sectionally and across the globe. The CCITS acts as an internal contractor for the development and implementation of security solutions across the entire core value chain and is an operator for the associated security services.

The Secure Identity & Priviliged Management (SIPM) department is responsible for providing, controlling and developing central identity & access management and privileged access management services. These include the operation and continuous optimization of safety-critical IAM/PAM systems, the implementation of technical and regulatory requirements and the efficient management of digital identities and privileged access.

Your profile:

• Complete study of (economic) informatics or comparable qualifications with long-term relevant professional experience
• At least 8 years of experience in identity & access management and privileged access management, ideally in complex, safety-critical environments
• Comprehensive expertise in authentication and authorization technologies (e.g. SSO, MFA, PKI, IAM frameworks)
• Multiannual experience in planning, implementation and control of complex IAM/PAM infrastructures and projects
• Knowledge of IT security architectures, access control and logging procedures
• Ownership of certifications in the field of technical information security such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or comparable qualifications that demonstrate IT security expertise at a high level
• Ideally knowledge in the environment of the public sector (e.g. Bundeswehr) and experience in the field of safety-critical infrastructures
• Impressed communication skills and the ability to communicate complex issues in a way that is addressable
• High problem-solving, decision-making and enforcement in technically demanding environments
• Flowing German and very good English knowledge in word and writing
• Ready to travel (about 40%)

Your tasks:

• Discipline and professional leadership of a specialized consulting team with a focus on operational technology
• Promoting knowledge transfer, methodological qualification and professional development of employees to ensure a powerful, future-oriented team of experts
• Strategic development and management of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) topics
• Control processes for access control, authorization and logging of privileged activities
• Evaluation and optimization of safety-relevant architectures in the IAM/PAM context
• Support for strategic security projects with IAM/PAM reference and participation in offer processes
• Identification of systemic weaknesses and development of solutions for the further development of identity and access security architecture
• Responsibility for IAM and PAM integration into the Zero-Trust Framework
• Control of complex coordination processes between IT operation and other stakeholders
