The Institute of Legal Medicine is part of the Centre for Diagnostics and offers an extensive range of legal medical services for the Hamburg metropolitan region. The Toxicology Laboratory focuses on the implementation of chemical-instrumental analyses for the clinic and for external clients. Your duties Determination of blood alcohol concentration by Headspace-GC/FID and ADH method Extraction of medicinal products, drug ingredients and poisons from biological agents (including from organ reserves after obduction) Subsequent determination by means of various methods (e.g. LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, HPLC, immunochemistry) from the field of instrumental toxicological analysis Work and documentation in an ISO 17025 accredited environment Maintenance of analysis equipment and application of various laboratory-EDV systems Participation in regular call readiness service This position shall be fixed for one year before. An extension is avised.

Completed training for medical technologists: in laboratory analysis (MTLA/MTL) or for biotechnical assistant:in (BTA) or chemical assistant:in (CTA) (*Einggrouping takes place according to qualification: BTA/CTA are grouped into the EC 8, MTL/MTLA into the EC 9a) A reliable and solution-oriented person with good communication skills and joy in working in the team Experience in carrying out chemical-instrumental analysis desirable Ready to use toxic and very toxic substances (solvents, derivatisation reagents, drugs, drugs, pesticides, heavy metal salts, etc.) is a prerequisite Good IT and expertise Structured, committed working methods and flexibility and organisational ability
