Cloud (in particular Microsoft 365 and Azure): You learn how to plan, audit and manage cloud-based IT infrastructures. You work with platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Azure to provide virtual machines, databases and network solutions in the cloud. You can handle user management, security settings, automation and integration of cloud services into existing IT structures. You also understand concepts such as hybrid cloud, identity management (Azure AD) and backup solutions to provide companies with a flexible and secure IT environment.

IT security: Learn how to protect IT systems and networks from cyber attacks and other security risks. This includes the detection and defence of threats like phishing, malware or DDoS attacks. You implement protection measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS) and endpoint security. You also work with encryption techniques, access controls and security policies to protect sensitive data and IT systems.

System and server administration: You learn how to install, configure and maintain servers and operating systems such as Windows and Linux. You can efficiently set up server environments with the help of virtualization, manage user accesses and perform regular updates. In addition, you run monitoring to check the functionality. To ensure that the IT infrastructure is stable, efficient and always up-to-date.

Network administration: You learn how to set up, configure and securely operate networks to ensure reliable communication within the company. This includes implementing security solutions such as firewalls and VPNs as well as monitoring network security to detect threats early on. To ensure that all connections are stable and protected.

IT support and user support: You learn how to support users in technical questions and problems and help them with IT training. In doing so, you analyze and solve problems, explain technical issues in a comprehensible manner and involve other parties on problem solving if necessary. With ticket systems, you manage inquiries efficiently and thus contribute to a smooth IT operation in the company.

Operating principles: You learn the business principles that help you understand the economic aspects of your work. This includes how you plan budgets and calculate costs to make economically meaningful decisions. You will also gain insights into project management and contracting so that you can successfully manage IT projects and work with service providers.

Technique enthusiast: You have great interest in IT systems, networks and modern technology. Maybe you've already gained first experience with hardware, software or even your own IT projects.

Analytical & solution-oriented: You think logically, approach problems structured and have fun finding efficient solutions. Challenges motivate you and you stay stubborn until you find the best solution.

Responsible & reliable: You work carefully and conscientiously – finally, IT systems are the backbone of a company. You are aware that security and data protection play a major role in IT.

Team player with own initiative: You like to work in the team, but you can also take tasks independently. Here you show commitment and want to learn new things.

Communicative & service-oriented: You have no bareness to explain other IT topics in a comprehensible way and will be happy to help with technical questions. Whether by phone, email or personal – you can express yourself well and are customer-oriented.

Good school degree: A middle school degree or (special) abitur are of advantage, but also cross-comers with strong IT interest are welcome. Particularly important are good grades in mathematics, computer science and English, as you often work with technical documentation and international IT systems.
