Information Security Engineer (m/f/d)

Cyber Security specialist in space projects We are responsible for information security and cyber security in OHB projects in a dynamic team of specialists. This concerns, in particular, the safeguarding of the overall system and soil segment according to national requirements (BSI land protection), according to ESA specifications (ESA Security Process) and also studies on the development of new security technologies for space systems. For our wide range of tasks, we are looking for both technical specialists who work out specific technical requirements on the console, as well as security managers who work out security concepts, accompany and check their implementation. Your duties Core tasks: Developing concepts for information security in projects, in particular taking into account customer requirements and the specific circumstances of space Development of information security measures (technical and organisational) and monitoring of implementation Support of specialist departments (system engineers, administrators, software development) in topics of IT security Possible specializations: Planning, organisation and implementation of the information security cycle according to BSI Basic protection Automation (Ansible, Powershell..) and administrative activities to secure systems e.g. Security Configuration Windows/Linux, Logging / Monitoring support (knowledge in Python are a bonus) Other activities: Check and evaluate cyber security measures in the project environment, search for vulnerabilities and vulnerabilities New and further development of IT security products in the space context Cooperation and studies on the development of new security technologies for space travel, e.g. QKD or VPN Development opportunities: Many ways to take responsibility, further training in security, organization and engineering topics Development to Senior Security Engineer in one of the two specializations Possible time to switch to the programs, e.g. as a subproject manager:in or system engineer:in

completed studies of computer science or comparable qualifications, or Professional experience Understanding cyber security, e.g. through practical experience in IT security or experience in the application of information security standards such as BSI IT basic protection or ISO 27001 Specialization IT security: Experience with Linux and/or Windows systems administration Interest in getting to know new topics Structured and analytical methods Ability to clean documentation, in space projects should each (security) design step be documented and comprehensible Flexibility, an independent and effective way of working as well as responsibility and team capacity
