For our location in Bremen we are looking for a Value Engineer / Cost Engineer (m/w/d) – unlimited, full-time (35 hours/week).

Implementation of value analyses and cost structure analyses for identifying savings potentials Development and implementation of cost optimization measures in cooperation with purchasing, development, production and suppliers Control of value analysis workshops with interdisciplinary teams Identification of alternative materials, manufacturing processes or suppliers for cost reduction Support for make-or-buy decisions as well as design-to-cost and target-costing projects Technical assessment and feasibility testing of product design in terms of cost and production Cooperation with suppliers to identify and implement optimization potentials Support for purchase in negotiations through technical and commercial analyses Monitoring and reporting of savings and optimization measures Cooperation in R&E projects as a representative of the purchase

Complete technical or economic studies, such as mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, production engineering Multiannual professional experience in value engineering, purchasing, cost engineering or product development Experience in cooperation with interdisciplinary teams and suppliers Knowledge of the application of value analysis and cost structure analysis methods Experience in implementing cost optimization projects Funded knowledge in value analysis, target costing and design-to-cost methods Technical understanding of manufacturing processes and materials REFA training Experience with ERP systems and common analysis tools (e.g. Excel, SAP, Costing Software) English language skills
