Protecting Germany's wild animals, preserving their habitats and creating new natural areas, inspiring people for the beauty and uniqueness of the local fauna, counteracting the alienation of nature: The employees of the Deutsche Wildtier Stiftung are committed to this. The Deutsche Wildtier Foundation welcomes the expansion of wind and hydropower as well as solar and bioenergy in Germany. At the same time, the energy transition efforts must not jeopardise the preservation of biodiversity. To strengthen our nature conservation team at the Hamburg site, we are looking for a

in full or part-time. The job is limited to two years.

These tasks await you: You develop and sharpen the energy policy positions of the Deutsche Wildtier Foundation in close coordination with the area management of nature and species protection. You develop and accompany initiatives and projects that propose solutions for species protection conflicts in the development of renewable energy. You initiate the communication of the German Wildtier Foundation on “Renewable Energy and Species Protection” in close coordination with the Foundation’s communication team. You build the energy policy networks of the Deutsche Wildtier Foundation and establish new contacts in politics, science and business.

You should bring this with you: You have a successfully completed planning, agricultural or nature-protection studies and ideally first professional experience in the field of renewable energies. You have further knowledge of wildlife particularly affected by the energy transition, for example bats or large birds. You are communication-strong and responsive. You like to work in the team and are used to work with them across pragmatic, flexible and in-depth. You are characterized by a good conceptual and creative mindset as well as a planned, structured and careful way of working. Self-initiative, good self-organization and reliability are of course for you.
