We, the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut, are a scientific institution of the Federal Institute responsible for the testing and approval of vaccines and biomedical medicinal products and for research in the field of life sciences. Unit Z4 The property consists of approximately 88,000 m2 in eleven buildings laboratories and animal husbandry facilities up to the safety and protection level S3 as well as offices and technical areas. The unit “construction, operation” with approx. 35 employees are responsible for the operation of highly complex building technology. The Z41 property is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the air-conditioning and compressed air systems and for the operation of two mechanical workshops. Together with the Z41 team, you will ensure a safe and reliable operation of the technical infrastructure.

Own operation of the high-quality room air technology (RLT) systems according to VDMA 24168 and VDI 6022 as well as the compressed air systems Responsibility for quick troubleshooting and repair and replacement of defective parts on RLT and compressed air systems Analysis of vulnerabilities, adaptation of plant parameters and independent planning of smaller modernisation measures in the field of air and compressed air technology Coordination of work with other departments, external companies and the beneficiaries in the house and participation in RLT construction measures Creation and maintenance of technical plant documentation and the initiation of necessary material orders and tenders in cooperation with the procurement agency

Senior Engineer (m/w/d) or Master (m/w/d) in the field of heating, ventilation and air conditioning, supply technology, technical building equipment, energy and building technology, or a comparable field Multiannual professional experience in operation and maintenance of air-conditioning systems Knowledge of relevant standards, regulations and directives, in particular VDMA 24168-1, VDI 6022 Knowledge of the Safety Regulation and applicable safety regulations Basic knowledge of the function of other installations of technical building equipment including building automation Secure application of Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word, Excel Reliability and flexibility, learning ability and interest in specialist training Very good knowledge of the German language in word and writing
