For the Ulm site we are looking for one:

Data Analyst

The NPG Digital is the central digital unit of the approximately 1,900 people large media landscape of the New Press Company mbH & Co. KG

With us talented employees develop and market digital products such as news portals moz.de, lr.de or swp.de and create innovative marketing solutions for the Brandenburg and Baden-Württemberg area. We combine the flexibility and innovative strength with the security of a group by working in a dynamic du-culture that is characterized by flat hierarchies and a close cohesion in the team.

The NPG Digital implements the news portals technically and supports the editors in the analysis and marketing of the content. We develop our products data-informed.

♪ These are your tasks:

• Explorative analyses and deep divees to support corporate decisions
• Conception and creation of dashboards and reports that help our stakeholders achieve their goals and communicate data knowledge in a comprehensible manner
• Communication with stakeholders (product development, marketing, editorial staff, ...) to support them in the Daily Business
• Moderation and evaluation of data requirements
• Selection of relevant KPIs for stakeholders and use cases, development of Metric-Trees
• Conception, preparation and evaluation of experiments
• Development of our tracking in various app and web portals
• Data modeling in dbt for dashboards and reports

♪ That's what you bring:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a Similar Area
• First professional experience as Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer or Data Scientist
• Knowledge of SQL and Python
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to visualize and to present complex data accuracy
• Experience and targeted use of AI tools to support your work and process large data records in Data Warehouses and Data Lakehouses (we use Google Cloud Platform tools)
• Knowledge of how to use analytics solutions such as Snowplow and Kilkaya
• First experiences with dbt to model data
• knowledge of creating dashboards with Apache Superset and Looker Studio
• Very good German language skills (min. level C1)
