In the Harburg district office, the civil engineering department takes over the role of the engineering office of the administration and implements the political program of the alliance for cycling and foot traffic. The department consists of around 40 specialists, including engineers:inside, city planners:inside, geographers:inside, landscape planners:inside. Project management (HOAI performance phases 0-7) for the planning and implementation of bicycle systems and road construction projects of different types, taking into account difficult conditions Development of engineering contracts, award of planning services and guidance and technical assistance of the contracted engineering offices Examination of comprehensive technical planning, including other services from the traffic planning, road traffic and road engineering perspectives, as well as the development of opinions/contributions, taking into account wheel transport systems in technically satisfactory quality, measures-based cost control and control to maintain cost targets, preparation for the planning of the planned construction measures in the political bodies and acceding meetings, including participation
